If you have not picked up the August issue of Allure (Victoria Beckham on the cover), then run to your nearest magazine stand and pick it up NOW!! I am only half way through the issue and am finding all sorts of great info!

The best article so far is the "Best Makeup Tips. Ever." that has 59 tips from the hottest pros around! I have been studying makeup since many of you were itty, bitty babies, and even my jaded self picked up more than a few great tips. A few of my faves:

- If you have especially straight, or hard to curl lashes, immediately after curling them, apply waterproof mascara, it holds lashes up much better than regular mascara.

- to remove a makeup smudge, use a q-tip dipped in moisturizer and wipe it over the spot and blend in the rest of the cream (I think I will stick with the fabulous Revlon Makeup Eraser Pen, but this tip is good in a pinch).

- after tweezing brows, spritz with a fine mist of water to see any baby hairs you may have missed.

OK, that tweezing tip is a godsend!! By pay attention and don't spray your mirror with water. Not that I did that of course. Twice. ;)

So go pick up the mag and as I keep reading, I'll keep posting the other great articles. Have you read this issue? What did you like best?
