Yes, its crazy! They do fireworks on the river on the 3rd, instead of the 4th. But whatever...I took off of work so I could go to a friends house for a little party she has. I had a lot of fun...ate too much and drank too much...but its all good.
I used my Naughty Nautical eyeshadows today, and none of them are blue! I used Illegal Cargo and Shore Leave, and I love both of those! I forgot that I had Love Knot Lustreglass, otherwise I would have sported that too!
I used Prescriptives Flawless Skin Foundation with *Magic Loose Powder. I used Cargo blush in Tonga on my cheeks and a little bit of Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick in Rose on my cheeks too, and MAC Helium pigment to highlight.
On my eyes I started out with some UDPP. I put MAC Shore Leave on the innermost part of my lid, with a little bit of MAC Crystal eyeshadow over that to give it a little purple hint. I then put MAC Illegal Cargo on the middle of my lid, and a mixture of MAC Parfait Amour and MAC Satellite Dreams on the outermost part of my lid. I used MAC Nocturnelle on my outer V and in my crease. I used MAC Shore Leave on my browbone. I used the same colors to line my lower lash line and Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in Grahpite Shimmer Ink on my upper lash line. I used Maybelline Colossal Lash Mascara and Clinique Brow Keeper in Honey.
I wore MAC Syrup lipstick and MAC Spanking Rich Dazzleglass.
I hit the mall today. I checked out the Bobbi Brown counter and picked up the Black Mauve Shimmer gel eyeliner. I think (hope) I am going to love it. Its not too black, which I like, because I think straight black eyeliner looks too harsh on me. So I will definetly try it out soon. I want to pick up another Shimmerbrick in a different shade, but I just don't think any of them are my color.
I also hit the MAC counter (duh!, that should be a given). I picked up Mineralized Satinfinish Foundation. I have been using Studio Fix Fluid for a little while now, and I find that it is too dark for me, even though I am using NC15, which is the lightest shade. I told my concerns to my favorite MAC artist (I'm so glad he was there today), that it is too dark for me. Even though its the summer, and you supposedly get a little darker in the summer, I don't ever...I just burn and then I'm white again.
Anyway, he used some fancy terms, but basically he said that Studio Fix Fluid dries a little darker than what you see in the bottle or on your sponge or whatever you use to put it on. So he suggested Mineralized Satinfinish in NC15. It will give a little less coverage than I'm used to, but I'll get over that.
And he told me that they just had a price increase at MAC. A lot of their products went up fifty cents to two dollars. I guess everything is going up in price these days.
I have been wanting to try the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, so I made a stop at Sephora and picked up two: Zero and Rockstar. I also go my birthday gift from Sephora, a trail size Vanilla Cupcake bubblebath.
They are making some huge additions to the Mall of Louisiana. The Sephora is fairly new. There is also an Apple store I wanna check out too, there are some new fancy restauraunts coming up too, and a Pottery Barn, and a Coach store. I also saw that there will be an Ulta coming up across the street from the mall, so thats a little exciting. I've never been to Ulta before, so I don't know what to expect.
I might be taking a little vacay to Destin, Florida in August, and there is a Cosmetics Company Outlet there that I will just have to check out! And I think there is a Coach outlet there too!
Anyways, I have a long weekend...I took off Thursday (today!) and I don't have to work the 4th since its a holiday. I will probably be cleaning tomorrow, blah...oh, well.
My legs are itching like crazy....those darn mosquitos got me tonight!! I must find some anti-itch cream or something!!!

Ooooo I like this look on you Jackie! The lavender smokiness is really pretty! Can't wait to hear what you think of the new BB liner! I hope you have a great 4th of July and your mosquito bites clear up soon - I am a total bug-phobe!
