Greens & Golds...finally

I'm finally getting around to posting this.  This wedding was three weeks ago and I had a blast (as I do everywhere I go).

I did my own hair and makeup.  I refused to pay for something I know I can do and do it better to where I will actually like it.  I have went to MAC in the past and had my makeup done but there was always just something about it that I didn't like.  Not that it wasn't done beautifully but it just wasn't my style.  Getting my hair done is a different story.  I NEVER like it when I get my hair styled by a professional.  I think updo's look like poo on me and if they fix my hair down with curls they NEVER stay.  But when I curl my hair it stays, funny huh?  I hate myself with an updo, so thats out of the question.  So, originally I was just going to fix my hair normally, just with a little extra volume and some extra time spent on it.  But then I found my three barrel curling iron in my closet and decided to play with it one night.  I liked the results but everyone else loved it.  And I then came to the decision that I was going to do my hair like that for the wedding, so I did.

So, onto the makeup...

And for hair I used mostly Big Sexy Hair products.  I have very fine and thin hair, so I need all the volume I can get.  And Big Sexy Hair does it for me.  I started with their Shampoo and Conditioner.  I used the Volumizing Blow Dry Gel on the middle to ends of towel dried hair.  And starting on the top of my head, with the hair closest to my forehead, I made a part and used Root Pump Plus at the part, and continued making parts and spraying with product until I got to the middle of the back of my head.  And then on the sides above my ears, I just sprayed a little of the Root Pump Plus onto my finger tips and massaged it in.  I dried my hair upside down and combing hair to the front. (I hope that all made sense.  I explained the best I could.)

I used a Vidal Sasson Three Barrel Curling Iron with Bed Head Maxxed Out Hair Spray.  When I was done with all the hair, I just gently combed out with my fingers and then sprayed all over with some Big Sexy Hair Spray-N-Play Hair Spray.

And thats about it.  Our dresses were from Alfred Angelo in the color Celadon.  And I wore Theirry Mugeler Angel perfume.  I had acrylic nails put on, done very short with white tips and my toes were painted with China Glaze's Prize Winning Mare polish.  And I think thats just about all the little extras.
