Up until a couple years ago I could wash my face with soap in the shower and be fine. I could go to bed with a face full of makeup and not give it a second thought. Then the problems started. I get dry skin, I moisturize, then I get breakouts, whatever I do for those leads to dry skin, and when I correct that... yep, breakouts. What the heck?

I've tried Oil of Olay, Neutrogena, Body Shop stuff, Philosophy, Aveno... and something else I can't remember. Then this drama with Juice Beauty I've been recording in my blog here. Oh, Chemical Burns... such fun!

But help is on the horizon... I've got an appointment tomorrow with a "Skin Care Expert" at Sephora to discuss my needs and sample lots of products. The woman I talked to while setting up my appointment suggested that organic ingredients may be too harsh for my skin. Well, obviously it's too harsh for my skin, but you would think organic would be the way to go, right? WRONG! She's thinking either Murad or DDF.... opinions please!

murad looks way to chemical-esque. they have soo many acne products that it just makes me think of putting acid all over my face. ddf is the better way to go. i have some murad stuff that works but i don't know why i stopped using it.

maybe the dermatocosmetics would do the trick for you.. I only use Avene's products for my skin, until now.. this is what works best for me :)

I like Avene too, I am using their cleanser right now and I like their redness reducing cream. I also have cans of their spray water all over my house, it calms my burning face down right away!

yessss, i share the same oppinion with you about Avene.. I have a dry skin, and I've tried various thermal waters, but Avene's is the one I like most. It doesn't dry my skin out (like Uriage does), but all of the contrary.. i really like them.
