So, I'm 14 and all my friends use makeup. I have fair skin that is sort of oily. I have pink cheeks and a "Rudolph" nose. I get pimples a lot but they're usually minor and easy to get rid of (I switch between ProActiv and Clean&Clear). Plus, I have icky dark circles under my eyes that I'm just dying to cover up. I've tried Covergirl Clean powder foundation as well as liquid foundation, but they don't seem to work very well. So I need some tips on foundation that isn't too expensive but will work for my skin type. I've looked on google.com and gotten links to many many other websites. But each is either made for people with already perfect skin or it is too expensive.

Hi Madeleine - Welcome and what a cute pup :) And your nose looks perfectly clean in your avatar, in fact, you look great! At the drugstore I really like L'Oreal True Match foundation but I find I get shiny after a few hours. If you are less oily on your nose than I am, you might like it. I have also heard really good things about Cover Girl TruBlend liquid, but I haven't tried it yet. It is on my list to check out. Who else has some recs? :)

Current obsessions: Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers, my new camera, and the baby on the way. Really looking forward to the Spring Collections to get some new Beauty faves!

I have an oily t-zone, and as far as drug store foundations go, I am really enjoying Revlon Colorstay Active. Its quite a bit lighter than the original Colorstay (which broke me out) and there are quite a few colors (as I am the lightest there ever is, and there is one to match my skin). I haven't had luck with any other drugstore brand except for Revlon.

currently obsessing: all things Twilight, Gossip Girl, MAC Feline Kohl Power Eye Pencil, MAC MSF in Petticoat I'm lusting after anything NARS at the moment...can't get enough.
