Hello and thanks -B-, I am heading over to check it out now.. =)

Hello Critty
You know my Dauther said to me one day about 7 years ago, " geee you're being moody, mommy". lol and it's stuck with me from that day on, lol even some of my friends call me moody or MM.

Thanks for the kind word =) I really do have a full plate, but wouldn't change a thing.

As for my routine now:......mmmmmmmm......blush... I really don't have any routine set in stone, just get face scrubs for blackheads that is on sale at the time I need more.
As for my makeup I really do about the same thing. I have Combination Oily to Oily, with very large pores. I haven't really ever had any luck with makeup, however I did try some mineral wear from physicians formula, I have had it for about....eek!, a year now. I am not realy crazy with the way it looks on my pores but so far it's the one I like the best.
Hope all my blabing helped give you a better idea of my makeup problems, and didn't just confuse you to death. =)

Tamara

I have ginormous pores too, more like craters! Mineral makeup does not work with big pores, it only seems to accentuate them. I keep trying MM (mineral makeup, not MoodyMommy!) but I am always left with a polka-dotted face. Do you use a moisturizer? Do you use anything with salicylic acid in it?

WOW!!
I would have never guessed that you had large pores too.
I haven't ever used anything with salicylic before, and the only moisturizer I use is just my body cream.

What do you use? You look GREAT!!

Ok Miss Mommy,
Do not, I repeat, do not use body cream on your face! It's not just some conspiracy to sell face moisturizer ;) Body lotions contain waxes and oils that are great and moisturizing your body, but they clog your pores and make blackheads worse. I think this moisturizer by Neutrogena is going to rock your world http://www.neutrogena.com/ProductsDetails_360.a... it not only moisturizes your skin, it is oil-free (important words for us girls) but it also has salicylic acid which has been proven to go down into the pores and exfoliate the bad stuff out of there! It can't make your pores smaller, but it can make them appear smaller, which is almost as good, right?! If you combine that with a gentle cleanser and a scrub you'll use a few times a week, your face will be really happy.

If you want to do more of a "deep exfoliation" you can also use acne pads with 2 % salicylic acid, like these: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=...
but only if the you need them. My sis has been using them for 5 months now and her blackheads are totally under control and I am completely jealous!

I can't use salicylic acid (I am salicylate sensitive, so no aspirin) but I try to keep my skin ok by using a rough wash cloth on my nose and chin and by using a clay mask once or twice a week. I wear a TON of foundation to cover up my large pores and my rosacea, it is all an illusion ;)
